Mentor Program Overview

All current University of Illinois Civil and Environmental Engineering students are welcome to participate in this program. We don't anticipate this program taking huge amounts of time, but we do believe that the benefits of participating in this program influence your career.

Sign up in 3 easy steps:

Step 1: Gain access to the website.

Go to login now if you have not done this yet.

Step 2: Search our mentor database and choose a mentor.

Search the mentor database by area of specialization or geographical region.

Note:

You do not have a time limit to select your mentor; however, to get your first choice, we suggest choosing as soon as possible.

Step 2: Wait...

for an e-mail confirming that the mentor you chose is available. Carla Blue will forward your e-mail address to the mentor that you choose. When everything is set up, your mentor will e-mail you. Be courteouespond quickly. First impressions are important!

Step 3: Keep in contact with your mentor.

Obviously we would like for you and your mentor to keep in contact as much as possible, but at the very least we ask that you contact your mentor at least 3 times per semester. You will have the same mentor until the end of the next school year.
